Being Strong and Courageous

To say the last few weeks have been unusual is an understatement. Most of us are spending a large amount of time at home, and I've tried to make the most of it. I've kind of likened this to going through a test, and I really want to do my best to pass!

When I was homeschooling my 3 kids--5th, 3rd, and kindergarten--one of the verses that we memorized was Deuteronomy 31:6: "Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified, for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you." While I thought this would be a good verse for them to learn, it was probably more for myself since I was stressed out and terrified of homeschooling."

So how cool was it that my Bible reading (I'm doing the F260 reading plan) had me in Deuteronomy this week? You guessed it--Deuteronomy 31 to be exact! I think it's just amazing when I'm following a reading plan and the passage is exactly what I need! It reminded me to breathe, be calm, be strong, and trust the Lord who goes before me.

Are you stressed out right now? Do you need a virtual hug or smile? We're here for you, even while we're doing this "stay at home" thing. We'd love to talk to you on the phone or pray for you. So let us know how we can help!

Until next time, be strong and courageous!
