Sugar Scrub DIY

Posted by Joy Morris on

With lots of time on my hands, I've been trying to do some creative things. Recently I made sugar scrubs for myself and some friends. If you have sugar, coconut oil, jars, and perhaps an essential oil such as lavender, you can do this!

Basically I use a 2 to 1 ratio for the mix: 1 cup of coconut oil and 1/2 cup of sugar. Add more if you'd like to make several. You can easily stir this up til you get the right consistency. However, I like to beat if for a minute or so--I think it gives the scrub more of a whipped texture. Then add in a few drops of your favorite essential oils, and viola!

Between all the hand washing and using hand sanitizers, the sugar scrub makes your hands feel smooth and soft.

I hope you enjoy the video! Let me know if you try it out!
