Posted by Rachel Risley on

Did you know it's only 63 days until Christmas!?!?   There was a time when I was adamantly against all things Christmas until after Thanksgiving.  However, the older I get the more I desire a peaceful holiday season, and for me that means doing a little Christmas shopping a planning earlier in the year.  So, as we spotlight a Christmas wreath today, I tell myself that I am not rushing the season, just preparing! :) We are very excited about the latest wreath design.  The wreath is handcrafted with red & green poly mesh, accented with coordinating, trendy ribbons, and adorned with a...

Friday Product Spotlight - Family Traditions

From mid-October until the end of December our lives are pretty hectic.  We decorate for each holiday, plan for parties & big family meals, shop for the perfect gifts, and juggle full calendars.  It really is my favorite time of year.  Not just because I enjoy always having something to do, but because just being together and celebrating life with family and friends is so precious. We have been blessed...

Southern Breakfast, Part 2

Posted by Rachel Risley on

In keeping with our theme of Country Ham accompaniments  this week.  Today I want to share my recipe for Cinnamon Rolls. My great-great grandmother, Mama Pratt, made the best cinnamon rolls.  Unfortunately I never learned to make them like her, and like many family recipes my "dashes & pinches" aren't quite the same.   The recipe I'm sharing today is adapted a little from one I found in a Southern Living cookbook a few years ago.  The rolls take a little time to rise, but they are worth the wait! Cinnamon Rolls 1 (16 oz) Package Hot Roll Mix (I...
