Gift Of Generosity

Posted by Joy Morris on

If you’ve ever been the recipient of someone else’s generosity, it’s probably something that has touched you deeply. Whether it’s something big, small, anonymous, or from a friend, generosity is often a rare gift with a large impact in your life. When my husband lost his job in 2012, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of others. Someone anonymously mailed us a $100 bill along with a sweet, encouraging note. A dear friend gave us one of his cars. The Lord truly showed us His love over and over through people caring for us during a very difficult time. Being...

Gift Of Encouragement

Posted by Joy Morris on

National Day of Encouragement is this weekend. As we talked about encouraging our teachers in last week’s blog, it seems appropriate to carry on that theme this week! Rachel, Michelle, and I like to plan ahead: Are we going to eat at Baja Burrito on Friday? Are you going to bring me chocolate next week? (Okay, that was a hint!!) We've been planning and brainstorming exciting activities ahead...

Eating At Home Has Never Looked So Good!

Posted by Joy Morris on

More than ever before, so many of us are eating at home. Whether it's take out or making dinner for the family, it's nice to sit down and eat together. During this whole time of craziness in 2020, I've been a big advocate of going to my local restaurants and getting food to-go. But even when I don't have a home cooked meal, I enjoy having a pretty place setting and making those around me feel special. A sweet customer, Jan, came in today and told me how she loves entertaining. She invites a neighbor that she knows over for...
